Our Story
Back in 2020 when I got pregnant with my second child, I had already prepared myself emotionally and mentally to go through another phase of sleepless nights, postpartum pain, breastfeeding challenges and toddler tantrums. I knew that navigating motherhood with two kids under 2 was not going to be easy… but I did not expect it to be THIS tough.
At a time when I needed help the most, due to varying circumstances, both my helper and my nanny were unavailable to assist. (It was also during the Covid impacted period.)
I was at my wits’ end, and really needed help!
… Then I began thinking, could there be others available to help me during this period? I figured that I could create a platform to connect mothers and grandmothers living close by to help me out. And Aunty was born.
Parenthood is exciting and you are not meant to do it alone. It brings me great joy to create something that would help fellow parents. And I truly believe that when parents are well-rested, they would be able to raise happy and thriving children. With Aunty, it is time to say goodbye to being burned out and hello to happier parents and children!

Amanda is a seasoned recruiter with over five years of experience in connecting people. She placed more than 200 candidates in her previous role as a Consulting Manager at an international HR firm. With a strong track record, Amanda’s intuition and eye for quality individuals set her apart. Now, as a mother of two young children, she’s leveraging her skills to help other parents find trusted and reliable nannies and babysitters.
